Weddings at Control Room A
Welcome to Control Room A at Battersea Power Station—a venue rich in London’s history and radiating timeless elegance, now fully licensed to host wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships for unforgettable events.
Originally built in the 1930s to manage the distribution of electricity across London, Control Room A stands as a testament to the city’s industrial strength and architectural beauty. Having been restored to its former glory, every corner of this iconic space echoes the charm of a bygone era. With a capacity for up to 120 guests for ceremonies and receptions, and space for an additional 30 evening attendees, the venue has found its perfect wedding ‘sweet spot.’
Guests enter through the prestigious Directors’ Entrance on the south side of the building. The striking bronze doors, adorned with original sculptural panels representing energy, offer a fitting introduction to the celebration. Inside, a grand Art Deco lobby awaits, providing the ideal welcome before guests enter the Directors’ Bar. Accessed via the marble staircase or the original lift, this light-filled space features a large skylight and windows that create a serene atmosphere. It’s perfect for arrival drinks and canapés, offering ample room for mingling and setting the ideal tone for the festivities. It is also licensed for up to 42 guests, catering to those seeking intimate wedding ceremonies.
Adorned with beautifully restored control panels, gold-coffered glass ceilings and original Art Deco finishings, Control Room A offers a captivating ambience that exudes romance and sophistication. Imagine saying “I do” in this historical space, where every detail enhances the significance of the vows. As lovebirds celebrate amidst the opulence of this unique venue, from the ceremony to the heartfelt toasts and beyond, every moment becomes a cherished memory in the making.
