NoMad London takes residence in the heart of Covent Garden inside the Grade II-listed building famously known as The Bow Street Magistrates’ Court and Police Station, located directly across from the famed Royal Opera House. The venue offers elegant and adaptable spaces for weddings, big or small.
The private event spaces are located within the building’s original courthouse and offices, creating a stunning backdrop for memorable occasions. Formerly the courtroom where famous (and infamous) Bow Street trials occurred, the Magistrates’ Ballroom has been transformed into a stunning formal space for private events with 75 seated people and 120 standing. An immersive mural by painter Claire Basler decorates the setting, providing the backdrop for ceremonies, seated dinners and dancing the night away. The room has an in-built stage perfectly positioned to host musicians, DJs and entertainers alike. Plus, it adjoins a stunning private bar with Royal Opera House views. Claire Basler’s stormy skies continue overhead, bathed in ample natural daylight, creating a stunning backdrop for welcome receptions.
The Fielding Room is a private dining space perfect for the vows, dinners or a wedding party greenroom. Complete with original architectural details, natural daylight and incredible adaptability; the area can host 24 seated to 50 people in the evenings. Connecting with the Fielding Room, the De Veil Room is an intimate private space featuring a bar with ample natural lighting. Enjoy drinks below the glowing stained-glass window or use it as a breakout room during larger celebrations in The Ballroom.
Common Decency is the sultry, subterranean, late-night lounge with a seasonal cocktail programme created by NoMad’s renowned bar team. A perfect place for after-parties; it features a bar, dedicated private access from street level, a DJ booth and three private snugs ideally suited to hosting a myriad of mischief for 50 to 150 people. The Fireplace Room offers an intimate, hearth-centred private dining space adjacent to the NoMad Restaurant. With booth seating and hand-painted Japanese panelling, this semi-private space can seat up to 24 guests and is perfect for rehearsal dinners or post-wedding brunches. Set inside a lushly landscaped atrium with a soaring glass ceiling, the restraint space is flooded with natural light, providing energy and liveliness during the day. It’s a stunning backdrop for ceremonies with 80 people. The restaurant transforms into an intimate evening setting, revealing its moody and sensual character for candle-lit sit-down meals or elegant cocktail receptions with 250.
As unique as the spaces themselves, tailored menus by the award-winning NoMad food and beverage team add another memorable layer to events. Designed by celebrated New York-based interior design team Roman and Williams, the 91 rooms and suites offer understated luxury with New York sensibility.
