Sip and savour a piece of royal history this spring as  InterContinental London Park Lane, the former childhood residence of Queen Elizabeth II, launches its new signature  Elizabethan Royal Tea. Paired with a bespoke tea menu from heritage brand The East India Company, the experience encapsulates the finest British produce, with elements of the experience provided and created by Royal Warrant holders. 

Take a seat in the opulent surroundings of The Wellington  Lounge for an afternoon of beautifully hand-crafted savoury finger sandwiches, pristine pastries, delicate cakes and homemade scones, all served on beautiful new Wedgewood  English bone china. From the ‘Royal Warrant’ Salmon & Caviar  Bliss and Monarch’s Coronation Chicken Royale, inspired by  Elizabeth II’s famous 1953 coronation dish, to the Elizabeth I  Syllabub, a pastry royally adorned with a sable as a nod to the Virgin Queen’s love of these sweet confections, this symbolic spread celebrates the reigns of these two majestic monarchs. 

Hand-selected by Tea Master Lalith Lenadora, the new tea menu features more than 20 infusions from across the globe,  including three exclusively curated blends. For a truly royal treat,  pair the afternoon tea with a glass of champagne from Royal  Warrant holder Veuve Clicquot or The Queen’s Cocktail – Queen  Elizabeth II’s favourite blend of gin and dubonnet. Royal Warrant holder Charbonnel et Walker ensures guests a sweet end with a chocolate takeaway treat. The Elizabethan Royal Tea will be available daily between 1  pm and 5 pm, priced at £74 per person or £86 per person with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label Champagne NV.
